Premium Slicer
The KWS Premium 200W 6" Electric Meat Slicer is built with the same rugged quality found in professional commercial equipment. The product tray and blade is large enough to fit anything found in the deli counter. Slices accurately and consistently from shaved to thick. No sloppiness in any of it’s smooth operating mechanisms. KWS Support promptly addressed my questions before the purchase. I wanted to know if replacement parts are available. They are, online with pictures. The other question, was if the 200 Watt motor would be powerful enough. They said it would be ample, and it most certainly is. It does not strain under load. It has a motor starter switch built in which prevents accidents. I chose the 6” (actually 7 5/8”) over the 10” or 12” models to save counter space. Fully assembled footprint including protrusions is 14” X 15”. I chose Red to accent the kitchen, and it is beautiful! I have a Real Slicer and not second best! I am Very Happy. My first meal was steak subs and It shaved the frozen chuck perfectly. Roasts, Onions, Peppers and vegetables too! Comes with spare drive belt and spare sharpening stone. Ships fast in well protected, frustration free packaging. I had even better results after I read the instructions :-)

A Great Compact Slicer!
I downsized from a larger, unwieldy system to the KWS MS-6RS, and I couldn't be happier. I realized that for home use, a smaller machine that’s easy to move around is a huge blessing. I don’t need to dedicate counter space to the KWS MS-6RS, I can just take it out of storage and use it when I need it. It’s not very heavy and is quite compact overall (especially compared to 10" or 12" machines). KWS is a great company. I initially received a unit that arrived with some damage (the shipping company dropped the box, which bent some internal components). I reached out to KWS, and without hesitation, they sent me a replacement. They even reinforced the packaging on the new unit and provided a return label for the damaged one. All of this was handled over Amazon messages. My experience with their customer support was fantastic. The staff was knowledgeable, they even pinpointed which parts were damaged and offered to guide me through replacing them. I didn’t have the right tools to open the machine, so they just sent a new one and took the old one back. Now, on to the machine itself. I’ll structure this part in bullet points for easy reading: PROS: 1) The machine is lightweight and easy to move around. You don’t need to leave it out on your counter! It’s light enough to store in a cabinet after each use. This is crucial for smaller spaces with limited countertop real estate. 2) It’s powerful enough for home use. I sliced completely frozen beef chuck, and the machine had zero issues making consistent 1mm thin slices. 3) Unlike other smaller and cheaper units out there, this one isn’t loud. The noise level is totally acceptable. 4) The interface is simple: an on/off button, a knob for adjusting cut thickness, and the included sharpener, all very easy to use for both me and my wife. 5) Once disassembled, it’s actually easy to clean, unlike other larger machines I’ve used in the past. The cutting tray is easy to remove and wash. 6) KWS has excellent customer service. They’ll answer any question within a few hours. For me, having a great team behind the product is often more important than the product itself. CONS: There aren’t many cons given the size and price of this machine, but here are a couple of things that could be improved: 1) Removing the blade requires a screwdriver, which you’ll need to do every time you clean it. Definitely buy cut-resistant gloves! You’ll need to handle the blade directly and the process can be a bit delicate. If done incorrectly, you could damage the blade or hurt yourself (for example, if the blade falls). I know that KWS’s larger machines have a notched blade that works with a removal tool, but unfortunately, that system isn’t included on this smaller model. It’s not a dealbreaker for me; the blade is small enough that I can handle it safely, but it’s something to be aware of. 2) The feet of the machine slip on my countertop. They’re supposed to be non-slip, but they don’t really help in my case (I tried it on both laminate and engineered stone, and it slipped on both). This is probably because the machine is so light (which, again, is a good thing!). For now, I just use a rubber mat underneath it, and that keeps it stable. It might help if the included feet were made from a softer, grippier rubber in the future. The current ones are a bit too hard and just slide around when the slicer is in use. 3) While the machine is light and easy enough to pick up, the only real way to lift it is from underneath—and more often than not, I end up getting lubricant on my hands (my fingers touch the sliding mechanism). It would be nice if there were side handles or some dedicated grip points to make lifting it cleaner and easier. That’s pretty much my review! Buy with confidence! I don’t think you’ll regret it if you’re looking for a slicer that’s easy to move around, doesn’t take up much space, and is more than capable for home use. One last note: I didn’t assemble the plastic guard on the food tray. For my use case, it didn’t seem necessary. I’m mostly slicing meats, and they don’t splash. I figured it would just complicate the cleaning process, so I left it off (at least for now).

Great machine
Excellent; really does slice paper-thin even without "chilling". Easy clean-up, quiet motor and easy to stow. Fine quality.

Looks better then it works
Absolutely gorgeous looking machine. However the blade online is out of alignment so it cut thicker at the bottom than on the top. It also 'sucks' the slices into the blade and flings debris in every direction. Clean up is very difficult.

My Best Christmas Present This Year!
I received this electric slicer from one of my children for Christmas, and I absolutely love it. As a dedicated home chef specializing in sausage, salami, bacon, and prosciutto, I always have something aging in my basement or coming out of the smoker that needs slicing. Over the past few years, I purchased two inexpensive home slicers, thinking I was saving money on what is essentially a hobby. Unfortunately, both of those slicers broke down and have since been thrown away. I was also frustrated by their limited ability to slice bacon, salami, and other meats I produce. I tolerated those slicers because I thought that was all I could reasonably afford. Now that I've experienced your slicer, I realize how wrong I was. The two slicers I discarded cost about as much as yours, which I expect will last me a lifetime. I can hear it in the motor's hum every time I turn it on; it has a power that my previous slicers lacked. Your slicer is not only safer but also self-sharpening. If you're considering an electric slicer, take my advice: skip the cheaper, less reliable options and invest in this one instead. It will save you money, frustration, and possibly your fingers in the long run. This is an excellent slicer for the price!
