Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub Review
The Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub is an external hard drive designed for gamers who need a lot of storage space for their games, movies, and other content. Here are some reviews of the Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub, 8TB Pros Large capacity for storing a vast collection of games and other content. Fast for a spinning external hard drive, thanks to its 7,200rpm platters. RGB lighting adds a cool look to any gaming setup. Great value for the price compared to external SSDs. Easy to connect and use. Cons Plodding compared with most external SSDs. Limited range of connectors. Plastic build could be more premium. Can't play PlayStation 5 games from the hard drive. Overall, the Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub is a great desk addition for backing up and archiving your collection. It is a great value for the price and excels at backing up and storing all the games you could ever hope to own. The 8TB version is perfect for those who need a lot of storage space for their games and other content. The FireCuda Gaming Hub is fast for a spinning external hard drive, thanks to its 7,200rpm platters, but it is plodding compared with most external SSDs. The limited range of connectors is a downside, but it is easy to connect and use. The plastic build could be more premium, but the RGB lighting adds a cool look to any gaming setup. Excellent
Been using this for a couple of months now on my raspberry pi based Plex server/NAS reformatted to ext4. Performs well enough and nice amount of storage for the price. Roughly 100 MB transfer speeds sending files to it over a wired network in this scenario. I can't turn off or change the colours of RGB with my specific use case which is a minor niggle and that wouldn't be a problem in a typical windows set up. Overall very good product.

A nice drive, but it was not a simple plug and play experience for me.
I already have the Gaming version of this drive and that worked flawlessly as soon as it was connected to my win 10 pc. This time I opted for the PC version and immediately ran into trouble. My PC could not see it. Checking through device manager the enclosure was visible there but it didn't show the drive itself at all and windows flat out ignored it altogether in the normal file explorer. Seagates help files were pushing for reformat and were also less than perfect to follow. I used the minitools download for partition work and assigned the drive a unique drive letter and after that it worked perfectly. I wasted a lot of time working that little bit of info out and deducted a star from the item for that issue. It works fine now and seems perfect. But all the messing about to get to this stage was highly annoying. Outside of that, the enclosure is a nice thing. With controllable RGB lighting making it look pretty cool in use. But the additional of a fat usb and a usb c socket on the front adds another string to the drives bow. I like the form factor of the drive and now it is working properly it is a really nice unit to have. It's just a shame that it was such a pain to get working properly.

Dont buy for to play game on
This drive is not suitable for gaming, as its speeds are too slow unless you're playing older games with low graphics. I have experienced crashes with games on this drive, whereas the same games run fine on other drives within the computer. Additionally, this drive has occasionally caused Windows Explorer to crash when only trying to look at the file on the drive. Update: The drive just started having issues while playing a game. It stops responding randomly.

More storage than my brain can handle.
I recently purchased the Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub, and let me tell you, it's like the Swiss Army knife of hard drives—if the Swiss Army was made up of gamers with RGB lights! First off, this 8TB behemoth is so big, I half expected it to start offering me unsolicited advice about my life choices. I mean, 8TB? That’s like having a pantry full of snacks, but instead of chips, it's loaded with all my favourite games! I can finally store my entire library without having to delete the only game I’m really good at (which is, of course, Solitaire). The customizable RGB lighting is a game-changer. I can finally coordinate my gaming setup to match my mood—bright pink for when I’m feeling fabulous and a deep, brooding red for when I’m rage-quitting. My setup looks like a disco exploded in a tech shop, and I’m here for it. The dual forward-facing USB ports are perfect for plugging in my gaming accessories—like my LED mouse and that weird fidget spinner I thought would help me concentrate (spoiler: it doesn't). Now I don’t have to crawl under my desk like a tech-savvy contortionist just to charge my gear. Oh, and let’s talk about the 3-year Rescue Services. If this thing ever decides to pull a disappearing act, I know Seagate has my back. I just hope they don’t send a rescue team that shows up with a compass and a map—my data is way more valuable than a scenic tour of my lost files. In summary, if you want a hard drive that’s bigger than your life goals and comes with disco lights, get the Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hub. Just be prepared: once you fill it up, you might have to face the cold, hard truth about how many copies of “The Sims” you really own.

Great reliable storage with good capacity and form factor.
I bought this to hold a large collection of media, and whilst it cannot boast the speeds of SSD or NVMe, what it does have is capacity.... a lot of it! There is plenty of competition for gaming products and storage is no different. Usually a 'gaming' storage product would try to differentiate itself by having faster read/write speeds, but Seagate have marketed this product firmly in the large capacity category. The drive itself is not too big, and comes with customisable LED light effects that can sync with Razor gaming equipment, but they don't really add anything for me. The performance is reasonable for a spinning disc, with retrieval of documents, video and photos at an acceptable level. Seagate are known for making good hard drives, so I expect this will last a while, but they also have a data recovery service, allowing you a single lab based attempt to recover your data in the event of a failure. This is a nice touch, but in practice, an online backup service is probably still required for most people. There are more secure ways to store data locally, but for the price, this drive represents good value for money and is certainly doing a good job for me so far.

Requires external power supply
Much larger than the advertising images and requires external power which is not shown on the marketing or written anywhere in the product description/box contents

Multi plug and very fast
External power supply but supplied with multiple worldwide adapter attachments so works in all countries. Hybrid so copying files very very fast. Software to control the LED’s. Cheaper by $100 than similar in my country. Fast shipping. Genuine Seagate. A big thumbs up.👍 Advertised as 8tb but only 7.2 tb available.👎

Marque fiable.

Düşük yazma hızına sahip
Okuma hızında sorun olmamasın rağmen yazma hızı rezalet 20Mb/s'de yazıyor. İnceleme videoları izlediğimde hız gayet iyi fakat ben en fazla 30Mb/s alıyorum 3.2 USB portuna sahip olmama rağmen böyle bir saçmalık yaşamam ilginç toolkit adındaki driver'ı kurdum işe yaramadı.
