I’ve been trying out this DIY brick toy gun, and overall it’s a surprisingly fun and well thought out toy, especially for the price. The standout feature is definitely the combination of the building brick baseplate and the blaster design. Being compatible with major brick brands means you can actually customise it quite a bit, which adds a creative layer that most toy blasters don’t have. It feels more like a build-and-play set rather than just a standalone toy. In use, the firing mechanism is impressively smooth and feels quite realistic for a toy of this type. The automatic rebound action means you don’t have to manually reset the slide each time, which makes continuous play a lot easier and more enjoyable, especially for kids. The shell ejection effect also adds to that realistic feel, with casings popping out each shot in a way that feels surprisingly satisfying without being unsafe. The included accessories are a big plus. With 100 bullets, multiple shell casings, and two magazines, there’s plenty to keep you going for extended play sessions. Swapping magazines is quick and helps keep the action flowing without constant stopping. On the downside, the small bullets are very easy to lose, especially indoors or in grass, so you’ll likely find yourself hunting for ammo quite often. Also, while the mechanism is generally smooth, it’s still a plastic toy, so it doesn’t always feel as durable as more expensive models. Safety wise, the plastic bullets make it suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and it feels like a solid gift option for kids who enjoy building sets and action play. Overall, it’s a fun hybrid of construction and play, with a surprisingly realistic firing feel, but the small ammo and occasional loss of pieces can be a bit frustrating over time.

It worked for about 20 minutes until the slide stopped shooting back consistently but it was fun rough and it does have a lot of ammo

I have to review this with some concerns about the safety and the description of this. In the box were the gun itself,a stand that has to be put together,some "lego" bricks,the bullet casings and the so called soft foam bullet heads. For starters its a well made thing,though I was expecting to actually build the gun itself.This was not the case as the gun was fully built in the box.the only thing about building with this is the fact that parts of the body have studs that bricks can be attached to,so technically,you "could" build this with other bricks added onto it into something entirely different than what it looks like.You could,but I wouldn't want to,since the bullet heads or pellets that it comes with are in no way "soft foam".They are made from hard plastic,and as such could cause injury to eyes etc. I'd say it could be fun,and the mechanism works well enough,though the bullet casings jam sometimes,or don't release from the ejection port properly. To be honest,theres loads of issues I have with this.Yes,I knew it could "fire bullets" and eject the spent casings,but I was expecting so much more with this,and I certainly wouldn't let a child anywhere near it. I can't recommend this due to these issues,which is a shame as if you had it as a display piece,or wanted for the potential to build it into another "lego" rifle or something,it'd be decent.

I thought you had to build this all up and then were able to use it, it actually comes made with a few popular brick style pieces to add your own twist which is cool! It uses an automatic pull back mechanism designed to be easy for children to use. A key point is the realistic shell ejection where a casing pops out every time the trigger is pulled. The box comes with a large amount of accessories, including 100 plastic bullets, now it does state foam but they are hard so defo not the foam I imagined,12 reusable shell casings, and 2 detachable magazines. It is made from lightweight plastic. It’s a cool item though, defo worth the money, would make a fab gift for a youngster. It’s a lot of fun, it’s vibrant and easy to use especially as it’s ready to go. I’d defo recommend supervision for youngsters due to small parts.

I bought this mostly out of curiosity because it looked a bit different from the usual building sets. First thing to note, it actually arrives fully built, which I found a little misleading. The only real “build” part is putting together the stand for it. That said, the mechanism itself is very smooth. The bullets load easily, the shell ejection works well, and it does exactly what it says in terms of action and rebound. From a mechanical point of view, it is quite satisfying to use. You can add other bricks to it if you have them, so there is a bit of customisation possible, but the main appeal here is clearly the firing action rather than building. Personally, this is not something I am keen for my kids to play with. I would much rather they use their imagination with open ended toys like we did growing up instead of something that mimics a weapon. I can see why some people would enjoy it for what it is, but for me that takes away from the fun a bit. Interesting idea, works smoothly, just not quite what I expected when I ordered it. mein Neffe brauchte noch eine Beschäftigung für die Schulferien, die ihn ein wenig vom Bildschirm wegholt. Der Zusammenbau der unzähligen Klemmbausteine verlief reibungslos, da die Teile passgenau sind und das fertige Modell stabil zusammenhält. Im Alltag funktioniert die Mechanik mit den kleinen Hülsen, aus denen die kleinen roten Bausteine abgefeuert werden, erstaunlich zuverlässig. Durch die zwei mitgelieferten Magazine und den wirklich großen Vorrat an Pfeilen muss er beim Spielen im Garten nicht nach jedem Schuss direkt aufsammeln gehen. Das Auswerfen der leeren Hüllen beim Repetieren klappt komplett ohne Klemmen und macht das Ganze nach dem Basteln zu einem alltagstauglichen Spielzeug

Ich habe mir diese Klemmbaustein-Pistole bestellt, weil mich die Kombination aus Bausteinen und funktionierender Mechanik gereizt hat. Die Beschreibung mit Hülsenauswurf und viel Zubehör klang nach einem perfekten Modell für die Vitrine und für ein bisschen Action zwischendurch. Was mir besonders gut gefällt: -Die mechanischen Funktionen sind erstaunlich realistisch umgesetzt: Beim Schießen werden die Patronenhülsen richtig ausgeworfen und der Schlitten bleibt hinten stehen, wenn das Magazin leer ist. -Der Lieferumfang ist wirklich großzügig, da direkt zwei Magazine, 12 Hülsen und ganze 100 Darts dabei sind, sodass man nicht nach jedem Schuss direkt alles aufsammeln muss. -Die Noppen der Pistole sind mit den gängigen, bekannten Klemmbausteinen kompatibel, wodurch man das Modell gut individualisieren und umbauen kann. -Für knapp 20 bis 24 Euro bekommt man ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ein tolles Ausstellungsstück. Worauf man achten sollte: -Man muss den Abzug mit relativ viel Kraft und Geschwindigkeit betätigen, da es sonst zu Ladehemmungen kommt und die Hülse nicht richtig ausgeworfen wird. -Die ausgeworfenen Hülsen und die recht kleinen Darts landen naturgemäß oft überall im Raum, weshalb man sich auf regelmäßiges Einsammeln einstellen muss. -Das Kunststoffmaterial fühlt sich leider teilweise etwas sehr leicht und in der Hand nicht ganz so hochwertig an. -Aufgrund der benötigten Kraft, des großen Griffs und der harten Projektile ist die Pistole definitiv eher für Jugendliche ab 14 Jahren oder Erwachsene geeignet und nichts für kleinere Kinder. Fazit: Da ich ein cooles Gadget für die Vitrine und für ein bisschen Spaß gesucht habe, bin ich mit den faszinierenden mechanischen Funktionen sehr zufrieden. Man muss vor dem Kauf jedoch unbedingt bedenken, dass die Pistole bereits zusammengebaut ankommt und durch die fliegenden Kleinteile sowie den etwas schwergängigen Abzug nicht für kleine Kinder gedacht ist.

Die Funktion ist leider nicht ganz so wie beschrieben. Das Spannen klappt nicht immer zuverlässig und die Hülsen verlassen das Gerät teilweise in völlig zufällige Flugrichtungen 😄 Präzision sieht anders aus — manchmal fühlt es sich eher an wie „mal schauen wo’s diesmal landet“. Drei Sterne gibt’s trotzdem, weil der Lütte trotzdem seinen Spaß damit hat und am Ende mehr gelacht als gemeckert wurde 👍

Das Produkt wurde im Rahmen des Tester Programms zur Verfügung gestellt, meine Bewertung ist jedoch frei von äußerer Einflussnahme und spiegelt ausschließlich meine persönliche Meinung wider. Ich habe die DIY Building Block Gun im Rahmen des Amazon Tester Programms erworben. Auf den ersten blick ist die Pistole eigentlich gut gebaut. Sie ist an die Pistole des österreichischen Unternehmens Glock angelehnt und hat auch einige Funktionen des echten Modells übernommen. Im Lieferumfang sind enthalten: -die Pistole (schon montiert) -einige Klemmbausteine -ein Ständer für die Pistole -zwei Magazine mit 6 Schuss -12 hülsen -100 Projektile Wenn man die Pistole in die Hand nimmt, merkt man direkt die schlechte Verarbeitung und das Material welches nicht gerade angenehm zu greifen ist. Nicht auschließlich wegen der Klemmbausteintextur. Wegen dem Material ist die Pistole sehr leicht und verursacht keine Anstrengung. Um zu schießen muss man den Abzug mit einer ziemlich hohen Kraft und Geschwindigkeit zurückziehen, damit es nicht klemmt. Ich wage zu bezweifeln, dass ein 6 jähriges Kind dies bewerkstelligen kann. Wenn man den Abzug nicht im angemessenen Tempo zurückzieht, geschieht ein failure to eject. Heißt: die Hülse wird nicht richtig ausgeworfen, steckt noch in der Öffnung und blockiert den Schlitten. Hat man es aber dennoch geschafft ein Magazine leer zu schießen, bleibt der Schlitten wie bei dem original hinten stehen und wird durch den sogenannten slidelock blockiert. Bei jeder echten oder realistischen Nachbildung einer Pistole, würde man jetzt das zweite Magazin einführen und den Schlitten per slide release (welcher bei dieser Waffe ein kleiner Hebel auf der linken Seite der Pistole ist) schließen und somit eine Patrone in die Kammer befördern. Wenn man dann abdrückt, wird ein kleiner Hammer auf den primer geschlagen was die Kugel abfeuert. Aber nicht mit der DIY block gun! Diese feuert nämlich, indem der schlitten nach vorne schnellt. Was in diesem Funktionsablauf dazu führt, dass jedes mal wenn der Schlitten nach einem leergeschossenen Magazin stehen bleibt, man ihn erst lösen sollte bevor man dann das neue Magazin einführt. Dies ist fernab von jeder echten Pistole und ich wundere mich warum man die Funktion des slidelocks übernommen hat aber nicht den Feuer Mechanismus. Konstruktinstechnisch liegt es einfach an der Fehlenden Patronenkammer in die aus dem Magazin vorgeladen wird. Die hat man sich hier gespart und so wird quasi direkt aus dem obersten Slot des Magazin's abgefeuert. Die Noppen der Klemmbausteine sind kompatibel zu den allseits bekannten Klemmbausteinen. Die Picatinny Rail ist übrigens der Norm entsprechend und kann somit alles aus diesem Segment aufnehmen (was die Länge halt so hergibt, versteht sich ;-) ) Fazit: Alles in allem würde ich diese Pistole aus Sicht eines Erwachsenen als kleinen Gag für die Vitrine bezeichnen, da sie bei Benutzung klemmt und auch nicht 100% funktionsgetreu ist. Trotzdem ist sie mit den Patronen und den getrennten Hülsen mit Auswurf ein lustiges Teil. Für Kinder aber eine super Sache die viel Spaß bereitet.
